We are committed to providing our clients with expert legal advice, guidance, understanding and empathy.

Client Testimonials

We have a substantial number of past clients who are happy to speak to our new clients about their own experience of our services. We offer all new clients the option of contacting one of our former clients to talk to them. We also provide all new clients with copies of recent testimonials we have received from our clients.

Please view the "Client Testimonials" section of our website. This contains letters of appreciation we have received from more than eighty of our past and present clients. Due to the sensitive nature of Family Law and to protect the identity of our clients, we have reproduced extracts of expressions of thanks we have received from a number of our customers.

Accredited Family Law Specialists

At Hartley Healy, we employ five Family Law Solicitors who are Accredited Family Law Specialists. To become an Accredited Family Law Specialist in Queensland, a solicitor must undertake advanced studies through the Queensland Law Society and complete written and practical examinations in the specialist area of Family Law. They must have been practising full time for at least 5 years and more than 25% of their work has to have been in the field of Family Law. To retain specialist accreditation, they must complete a minimum amount of training each year. Accredited Family Law Specialists are required to be active in continuing legal education, and to maintain a high level of involvement in Family Law practice.

Solicitors do not have to be accredited specialists to work in the field of Family Law in Queensland, but accreditation demonstrates a very high level of expertise in the area of Family Law. Family Law Specialist Accreditation means that solicitors with this credential are very experienced in helping clients with all aspects of Family Law, and especially those matters which are very complex.

Brett Hartley is an Accredited Family Law Specialist. Brett was in the first group of solicitors in Queensland to undertake and successfully complete these advance studies and he received his Specialist Accreditation in Family Law in 1996. Brett was also a member of the Queensland Family Law Specialist Accreditation Committee from 1997 to 2000.

In 2003, Joe Healy also successfully completed advanced studies through the Queensland Law Society and achieved Family Law Specialist Accreditation. This was followed by Beata Leszczuk, Peter Hooper and Richard Mahler who in 2007 gained Specialist Accreditation in Family Law.
