Joe Healy B.Bus.(Accy.), LL.B. (Q.U.T.), Acc. Spec. Family Law
He has both a law and a business degree and is an Accredited Family Law Specialist . Joe is a member of the Queensland Law Society , the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and the Family Law Practitioners' Association of Queensland . Joe was on the Board of Directors for the Family Law Practitioners Association in 2006. Joe has practiced exclusively in Family Law since 1999. He has extensive experience in Family Law issues relating to financial settlements and child related matters. Prior to being admitted as a Solicitor, Joe worked as an Associate to a District Court Judge for 2 years. During this time Joe gained a solid understanding of operation and practices of this Court, including the management of Defacto Matters. Joe possesses the necessary commercial expertise to examine complex financial structures and explore long-term consequences with our clients to help them obtain the best possible result. Prior to commencing his legal career, Joe worked as an accountant for two years, having completed his Bachelor of Business at QUT. Joe's expertise in Family Law is also recognized by many national media commentators. Recently, Joe's extensive knowledge has been called upon for comment in a Sunday Mail publication written by Ainsley Pavey. As a leading family law solicitor Joe was asked to comment on the issue of divorce in an article titled “Divorces get ugly for rich: Couples use spy tactic” 22/06/08. In January 2005, Joe was interviewed by Denise Cullen for an article that was published in the Sunday Mail Newspaper 23/01/2005. The article was titled "Doing divorce on the cheap". In March 2004 Joe Healy was interviewed by Michael Milne for an article that was published in The Weekend Australian Newspaper 17/03/04. The article was titled “Money Matters in Family Feuds” “Careful planning can take the financial sting out of Divorce”.
